A Chilly Walk

I had my niece and nephew over the weekend, and we were all going a little nuts being stuck inside. So we braved the cold and wind and went for a short walk.

No one was really taking me seriously. But I don’t blame them. It was COLD.

But we survived and everyone was in a much better mood when we got home. We won’t be able to get outside like this for much longer so we enjoy every minute!

Alpaca Farm

This morning we braved the mist and rain to venture out to Stella Alpaca Farms.

We met three very friendly Alpacas, and some that were more interested in their lunch.

I bought a pair of fingerless gloves for the cold winter days that are just around the corner.

Sometimes They Cooperate…

…and sometimes they don’t.

I had my niece and nephew over this weekend for a sleepover. The kids had lots of fun making cards for Papa (my dad had open heart surgery on Friday and is currently doing as well as can be expected.)

There was the usual antics when Teegan and Leila come over – playdoh and slime everywhere, someone sits in green beans (and then steps on them), they stay up way too late giggling. But these are the memories they will remember and I’m glad they have each other, even if they don’t see each other very often.

Flowers at Kiwanis Park

We put Lauren on the bus this morning (last week of summer school!) and drove across town to Kiwanis Park to waste time before the college bookstore opened. We only spent about two minutes here because it started raining. In the few minutes it took me to drive back to the college, it was full-on pouring when we went into the college.

We also picked up some garbage left around the park. With the amount of trash cans all over, there is NO excuse not to pick up after yourselves.

These red ones were my favorite (other than hydrangeas, of course) but I have no clue what they are!

Most of the flowers were a little scraggly looking, but it’s been awhile since we’ve have rain and it’s been pretty warm. There was about one decent flower in each kind, but they were still pretty!
